Floor cover shall be brass alloy for model 6430. Cover plate shall have a molded plastic recessed mounting flange, cork gasket, and 6 3/16" diameter cover. Molded plastic recessed mounting flange shall be 6 3/8" in diameter and have 3 holes in the ring (for screwing into the floor) that shall be completely concealed under the cover when in the closed position, allowing for a completely flat surface. In a "floating" wood floor, the floor plate is connected to the floor only, allowing it to move with the expansion and contraction of the floor. Cover shall be 6-3/16" in diameter by 1/4" thick. Diameter of opening shall be 5.25".

These floor plates are designed for installation into floors that have a floating wood floor over concrete. The floor plate consists of a floor plate tube assembly, a flat circular ring that sits flush with the wood floor surface and a removable cap. The area inside the ring allows the top surface to "float" around the anchor without interfering with use of the floor plate. The floor plate will withstand greater than 6000 lb. (2727 kg) vertical load with no pull out, when installed according to directions. These floor plates are compatible with all AAIcabled gymnastics apparatus as well as with T-base volleyball uprights. Model #422-031 can be installed in floating wood floors where the distance from the top of the floor to the bottom of the sleepers is less than 6" (152 mm).CONSTRUCTION:1. The floor plates consist of the following parts:a. 9" (229 mm) anchor tube. Machined from 1¼" (32 mm) round 1215 steel bar. Internal threads allow insertion of apparatus eyebolts on one end and a carriage bolt on the opposite end. Knurled outer surface engages cement and holds body in place.b.
