Floor cover shall be chromed steel for model 6431. Cover plate shall have a molded plastic recessed mounting flange, cork gasket, and 6 3/16" diameter cover. Molded plastic recessed mounting flange shall be 6 3/8" in diameter and have 3 holes in the ring (for screwing into the floor) that shall be completely concealed under the cover when in the closed position, allowing for a completely flat surface. In a "floating" wood floor, the floor plate is connected to the floor only, allowing it to move with the expansion and contraction of the floor. Cover shall be 6-3/16" in diameter by 1/4" thick.
