The Bolster Paddle is designed to help swimmers put their wrist and elbow in the correct swimming position for all four competitive strokes. The unique paddle locks the wrist and forces the swimmer to develop a forearm dominant stroke. By keeping the wrist from bending, the swimmer learns to hold the elbow up and in position to provide more propulsion through their stroke.Features & Benefits:Unique Wrist Extension: Keeps the wrist from bending so that the elbow and forearm are in the optimal swimming position. Velcro®: Avionic grade hook and loop material exceeds grip requirements even after 5000 assembly cycles. Covers: The weather and ground covers use the same super strong vinyl coated woven polyester as used in our pit casings with top and bottom heat sealed seams to keep moisture out. Mesh: Top of base units are made of vinyl coated woven polyester mesh for superior strength. The mesh top allows for the desired escape of air which provides optimal landing compression. This concept consists of a blend of foam densities to provide a functional foam core for both comfort and safety. Base unit's sides and bottoms are made with tough 18 oz. reinforced vinyl, coated on both sides for longevity. ("Important", some other brands are coated only on one side; these brands will not be as long lasting) The top of each base pad is made with a vinyl coated mesh breather fabric, which allows the air to be expelled upon impact. Each base pad unit is designed to channel the air compression through the foam system, slowing the deceleration of the athlete to provide a comfortable landing. We use heavy duty webbing handles, double stitching and nylon non-oxidizing zippers on every model and size. All stitching is performed with a strong nylon thread, all snaps sewn on base pads to match the 2" top pad. All systems are provided with a top comfort-landing pad that is made of 2" foam polyurethane. It is then enclosed in a tough vinyl mesh.
