This contemporary 25" "Route 66" stool has a single-ring base with a 2.5" cushion and a chrome accent ring that helps the seat to "pop-out" at a glance. Holland Bar Stool uses a detailed screen print process that applies specially formulated epoxy-vinyl ink in numerous stages to produce a sharp, crisp, clear image of the "Route 66" emblem. You can't find a higher quality logo stool on the market. The plating grade steel used to build the frame is commercial quality, so it will withstand the abuse of the rowdiest of friends for years to come. The structure is powder-coated with a triple chrome-plated accent ring to ensure a rich, sleek, long lasting finish. The accent ring is chrome plated for an enduring polished look. On May 16, 2009 Calvin Borel won the Preakness Stakes on Rachel Alexandra (after that horse was sold following the Derby). This accomplishment marked the first time that a jockey won the first two legs of the Triple Crown on different horses, and Borel could have become the first jockey since Steve Cauthen to win the Triple Crown in 1978 with a win in the Belmont. A win would have made him only the second individual to win the Triple Crown by sweeping the races in a year with different horses (D. Wayne Lukas, a trainer, in 1995). However, on June 6th, 2009, Calvin Borel finished 3rd on Mine That Bird in the Belmont Stakes, failing to accomplish a Jockey Triple Crown.
