Shake (push, pull or rotate) the bar. The bar will flex. The resistance needed to control the bar increases as the amount of flexion increases. Frame is 2" outside diameter aluminum with non-marring rubber feet. Convenient "fold-down" design allows easy setup, breakdown, and moving. When fully opened, the scaler stands 6 1/2' x 6 1/2' x 6 1/2', and folds down to 6 1/2' x 6 1/2' to 1' for storage.
