This reduces our dependency on fossil fuels, reduces energy demand and creates a smaller environmental footprint. In addition, these hybrid foams are manufactured without harmful CFCs, and do not use alternative blowing agents.Fabric: Stackhouse uses 18.5 oz. vinyl coated polyester with excellent wear and puncture resistance, outstanding UV protection to fight fading from exposure to the sun, and will stand up to cold and heat (-40° F to 180° F).Velcro®: The hook and loop material exceeds Military requirements #A-A-55126A in all areas tested. It holds it’s shear and peel strength even after 3000 cycles. And it retains 50% of its closure strength when wet. Base pads are attached on the top with flaps that use the Velcro® hook and loop material. This also covers the seams between the sections.Mesh: The top pad and top of base units are covered with vinyl mesh. This allows air to escape from the landing pit as needed. We chose this material because it has an excellent balance of strength and degree of openness.Seams: Stackhouse uses heavy-duty bonded polyester thread on their landing systems. All seams are double or triple stitched. And the handles, clips and D-rings are X-stitched for durability.Hardware: The heavy-duty snap-hooks and O-rings are nickel plated for durability and long life. The zippers are made out of durable nylon that won’t rust or corrode and will provide years of smooth operation. The buckles are made out of an impact resistant Nylon/Acetal alloy which is one of the strongest and stiffest plastics available.Top Pad: The two inch thick top pad is covered in vinyl mesh and is designed to cover the surface of the landing system to insure none of the seams between the base pads are accessible when landing on the system. All top pads are reversible.Handles: The handles are made out of 1" polypropylene webbing that is "X-stitched" onto the landing system to stand up to heavy use.Bases: Have Velcro® strips on the top and buckles along the sides to firmly attach together.
