These floor plates are designed forinstallation into floors that have a floating wood floor over concrete. Thefloor plate consists of a tube assembly, a flat circular ring that sits flush withthe wood floor surface and a removable cap. The area inside the ringallows 15/16” float before a floating floor surface interferes with the floorplate. The floor plate will withstand greater than 6000 lb. (2727 kg) verticalload with no pull out, when installed according to directions. These floor plates are compatiblewith all AAI cabled gymnastics apparatus as well as with T-base volleyball uprights. Model #422-032 can be installed in floating wood floors where the distance from the top of the floor to thebottom of the sleepers is less than 7" (178 mm).CONSTRUCTION:1. The floor plates consist of the following parts:a. 10½" (267 mm) anchor tube. Machined from 1⅝" (42 mm) round steel bar.Internal threads allow insertion of apparatus eyebolts on one end and a carriagebolt on the opposite end. Knurled outer surface engages cement and holds body inplace.b. Hex nut. ½" threads for attachment of ½" carriage bolt.c. Carriage bolt. ½" x 1½" zinc plated. SAE J429 Grade 5 bolt with 85,000-psiproof load. Provides additional surface area for engaging floor plate in cement.d. Floor plate ring that sits flush in floor surface and allows internal area for "float".This is attached to the floor with four ¼" screws.e. Removable floor plate cap. This sits inside the floor plate ring when the plate is notin use to provide a flat floor surface for other activities.2. The floor plate shall be provided completely assembled, and shall have the proper cement and installation instructions included with the floor plate package.3. The floor plate must be installed and allowed to set for a minimum of 12 hours before use with equipment. |

Floor cover shall be brass alloy for model 6432. Cover plate shall have a molded plastic recessed mounting flange, cork gasket, and 7 7/8" diameter cover. Molded plastic recessed mounting flange shall be 8 1/8" in diameter and have 3 holes in the ring (for screwing into the floor) that shall be completely concealed under the cover when in the closed position, allowing for a completely flat surface. In a "floating" wood floor, the floor plate is connected to the floor only, allowing it to move with the expansion and contraction of the floor. Cover shall be 7 7/8" in diameter by 1/4" thick. Diameter of opening shall be 7". |
